Crushed Petals

Why the name of Crushed Petals?

When I was a young girl in the 1950's, every chance I got, I would run up to a cosmetic counter and spray a mixture of colognes till I had created an overwhelming smell that made me and everybody around me, sick to our stomachs. As the years passed, I found out about natural fragrances and essential oils. I was told that it takes about 1000 pounds of rose petals, squeezed and crushed down to make about 1 ounce of fragrant rose oil. It seems that so many of life circumstances put a squeeze on us and sometimes situations of abuse, neglect, divorce, estrangement, abandonment, sickness, fears, failure, sadness, depression and death of loved ones seem to almost crush the life out of us. The conflict comes with trying to reconcile God's love for us and incorporating JOY into our lives so that we truly can walk as victorious OVERCOMERS; to not just quote scriptures, but really live it. What a challenge! The name Crushed Petals is to reflect that God can take the overwhelming stink of our lives and create a lovely fragrance as we are presented to HIM through Jesus Christ. It is also to remind ourselves that Jesus is The Rose and The Lily, with all its lovely bouquet. In contrast, He is also acquainted with our suffering and sorrow. Yeshua Ben YHWH Jesus The Son Of God He is our Kinsman-Redeemer. Nothing is wasted when it is Redeemed by God as we yield to HIM. He made a way for our VICTORY and JOY. He made the exchage possible. He is our Kinsman-Redeemer. But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. He is our Kinsman-Redeemer. Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)

JESUS The Christ -YESHUA The Messiah

He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand. One look at him and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum. But the fact is, it was our pains he carried - our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed. We're all like sheep who've wandered off and gotten lost. We've all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong, on him, on him. Isaiah 53:5 (The Message)

Believers

In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse. 2 Corinthians 2:15 (The Message)
